Goodgirl is a Texas noise-pop/indie-rock band active since the late 2010s. They released their debut EP Poor Habits in February 2019 via Head2Wall Records. The band’s music pairs thick, fuzzy guitar distortion with direct, melodic songwriting, balancing brightness with an undercurrent of tension. In tracks like “Alienation” and “Purposeless,” driving post-punk rhythms carry simple, memorable hooks, giving their lo-fi sound a bittersweet edge. Rite Field Records later issued Poor Habits on vinyl for the first time - marking the first record the label ever pressed, before it was formally operating as a label.
