Some Fear is an Oklahoma City indie/slowcore collective that began in 2021 as Branden “Bran” Palesano’s solo project. It has since expanded to include collaborators like drummer Ray Morgan and others. Their debut self-titled LP appeared in Jan. 2025 (Rite Field), followed by the sophomore album Word Eater (Mar. 2026). The music is intimate and dynamic: sparse, fingerpicked verses build to dense, distorted choruses. It often mixes whispered vocals with heavy, cathartic peaks, reflecting its lyrics about isolation and frustration.
